Sites that want your story.

Google ranks you higher when other real sites link to you. That’s a backlink. Most ways to get one are spammy or expensive. But there’s a whole set of sites whose entire job is publishing founder stories, and every story links back to the founder’s product.

Startup Founder Stories: 460+ founder journeys published.

By Solopreneurs: “Tell us your story”, with a link to your business.

I found this through a tweet by Hridoy Reh (@hridoyreh). He did one Google search and found a page full of these sites. I’m submitting my own stories to them now.

Write it once. Submit it everywhere.

Let Claude interview you

Don’t write from a blank page. Let Claude ask the questions these sites ask, then turn your answers into a story.

You're interviewing me for a founder story that I'll submit
to sites like Startup Founder Stories and By Solopreneurs.

Ask me these one at a time, wait for each answer:
1. What do you build, and who is it for?
2. Why did you start it? What was the moment?
3. How did you get your first 10 users / first rupee?
4. What's the number you're proudest of? (users, revenue, MRR)
5. What went wrong, and what did you learn?
6. What's your stack / tools?
7. What advice would you give a founder starting today?

Then write a 700-word founder story in first person.
Plain words, real numbers, no hype. End with one line
linking to [your website].

Make a version per site

Some sites want a story, some want Q&A, some want 300 words. Paste their form questions into Claude:

Here's my founder story: [paste]
Rewrite it to answer exactly these questions from [site]:
[paste their form fields]
Keep my numbers. Change the wording so it isn't a copy.

⚠️ Don’t paste the same text everywhere. Google ignores duplicate copies. A fresh rewrite per site takes Claude 10 seconds.

Find more yourself in one search.

This is the search from Hridoy’s tweet. Paste it into Google and you’ll get a page of sites asking for founder stories. Click through to page 2 and 3, new ones show up every month.

G o o g l e intitle:"submit your story" founder

try also: “share your startup story” “founder interview” “get featured” “submit your startup story”

Track every submission

Half of these sites take 1–3 weeks to publish. Keep a sheet, or you’ll forget which ones went live.

Check the link after it’s live

Right-click your link → Inspect. No rel=“nofollow” means it passes full SEO value.

Add a real photo

Stories with your face and a product screenshot get published faster and read more.

Use real numbers

“1,200 users in 3 months” gets accepted. “Growing fast” gets ignored.

3–5 a day, not 30

Spread it out. You’ll write better versions, and it looks natural.
