MagicGroup Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

The short version: MagicGroup reads the pending membership requests on a Facebook group you admin, and writes them into a Google Sheet you own. That data passes through our backend only to reach your sheet — we do not keep a copy of it. The one thing we do store about you is your account: your email address, your plan, and a count of how many leads you have saved.

What the extension reads

Only on facebook.com/groups/…, and only when you click Scan or Approve. From each pending membership request on the page it reads:

  • The requester’s name and Facebook profile link.
  • The membership questions you set, and the answers that person typed.
  • Any email address or phone number contained in those answers — this is the point of the tool, and it is information the requester volunteered to your group.

It reads nothing else on Facebook: not your feed, not your messages, not other groups, not any page outside a group you have open. Nothing is read in the background — the extension acts only on a click.

Where that data goes

Straight into the Google Sheet you connected. The rows travel from your browser to our backend (a Google Apps Script) purely so it can write them to your sheet — it does not keep them, log them, or write them anywhere else. Once they are in your sheet, they are yours: we can no longer read them unless you keep the sheet shared with us.

If you use the CSV button instead, the file is generated inside your browser and never touches our backend at all.

You are the controller of that data. The people in your group gave their answers to you, not to us. How you use, store, or delete what lands in your sheet is your responsibility.

What we store about you

One row in our customer database, containing: your email address, your plan (free or pro), when you signed up, when you last used it, how many times you have signed in, how many leads you have saved, the link and name of the sheet you connected, and — if you bought the lifetime upgrade — the payment date, order id, and amount.

The lead count is a number. We do not store the leads themselves.

On your own computer, the extension keeps a login token and your settings in Chrome’s extension storage. Logging out removes the token.

Signing in

There is no password. You enter your email, we send a one-time code, and you type it back. We store only a hash of that code, never the code itself, and it expires in ten minutes. A successful sign-in gives your browser a session token.

Emails we send you

Three, all triggered by you: your sign-in code, the setup guide after your first sign-in (or when you press the button for it), and a receipt if you buy the lifetime upgrade. We do not add you to a marketing list from the extension.

Payments

The lifetime upgrade is processed by Razorpay or PayPal, depending on how you pay. They handle your card or account details directly — we never see or store them. We keep only the order id, the amount, and the date, so we can recognise your purchase and unlock your account.

No analytics, no tracking, no selling

The extension contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your leads with anyone, and we do not use them to train anything.

Deleting your data

Email indianappguy@gmail.com and we will delete your account row and your session within 30 days. You can stop our access at any time by removing our editor access from your Google Sheet, and you can wipe everything held locally by uninstalling the extension. Anything already written into your own sheet stays with you — only you can delete that.

Children

MagicGroup is a tool for group admins and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
