so i'm in a hotel room and i'm finally realizing i might need to change my bed so i'm too comfortable guys why am i not getting this good bed at my home so it's day something today and today i wanted to talk about how important emails are so basically i have been experimenting a lot of different various channels for generating signals and traffic to the website the first one is always seo for me we focus heavily on seo and i'll share more tips about it in the upcoming videos but today i want to talk about emails which is our second best platform so how does email work and what can you do if you're building some product so get started with one of the basics which is having a sign up email so what you should do is you should have one email which is sent after a user sign ups to your product dude you might believe that people think that it's automated and they might not reply but i literally had a call day before yesterday and the guy was like someone from your team sent an email and i was like it's automated but yeah it works it is really good and if you can personalize it a little bit better that can be good personalized in sense of including information number one personal sign up email number two i send one email after one hour of the sign up this is basically to ask the feedback how was the product did it work well for you and stuff third is the event based so that so for example we have a product called ask video where people add a video and then they can talk to it for that product what we do is we simply um send a email whenever you add a new video with a link to chat so basically what happens is let's say for some reason you were added video but then you were waiting for it and you got distracted by me on instagram
