Lesson 1.4 — Option three, and why it got built

Neither of those two options is good. One costs you six months, the other costs you every time you want to post. So here is the third one, and I want to be honest about where it came from. Professional editing tools are expensive, bloated, or locked behind a steep learning curve. As creators we were spending hours wrestling with a desktop editor just to make one short clip. The exports were painful, the timeline was cluttered, and simple things like subtitles or a voiceover meant leaving and using two other tools. So the idea was deliberately narrow. An editor that lives in the browser, with no download and no install, where the machine does the tedious parts and you keep the creative ones. Transcription, voiceover, images, and searching through your own footage. The four things from lesson one that were never the creative part anyway. And that is what changes. The experiment costs you nothing, so you actually make it. The caption fix takes two minutes instead of two days.
