Nervous clients ask where their footage goes. Most editors answer vaguely and lose the job. So let us be exact, because exact is what wins it. The video file itself stays with you. It is not uploaded to be edited. And the render runs inside your own browser using FFmpeg, which is why there is no upload bar and no waiting behind other people. And here is the part you must not fudge. When you press generate subtitles, your audio is sent to their own Whisper deployment. A voiceover script goes to their Kokoro. An image prompt goes to their FLUX. Those models are self hosted, so no third party AI vendor sees it, but it does leave your machine. So say this. Your video file is never uploaded, it renders on my machine. For captions, the audio goes to their own transcription server, not to a third party. Never say nothing ever leaves my laptop, because it is not true, and the one client who knows enough to check is usually the one paying the most.…
