Why a Chrome extension — the 2021 story

Okay, so before we start the building process, I want to share a little bit about my journey on how actually everything happened. So it all started with me, first of all, wanting to figure things out. If you want to see a little bit more about the journey, I have put more by buttons course which kind of goes through a little bit more about my journey. But what I want to include in this one is exactly about this. What is this? A group buddy, this was my first Chrome extension and I was able to make my first sale because of this product. So what was it? It was basically a Chrome extension which can extract information. So you see, this is a Facebook group, right? I just want to show you confirmation. This was in 2021, I think this might be linking to the wrong. But anyhow, the point being, this was a Chrome extension which used to extract information from the question answered of a Facebook group. So what happens is Facebook has this feature where people can have member requests to join. And when they're requesting to join, they will have to answer a few questions. What a lot of people used to do is they used to have this option where they'll ask that, hey, we will send you this, anything. And they'll be like, can you please give us your email ID? This was something which people used to collect to set up automations that whenever someone is approved, they'll get their email ID. It will be added to some sort of an email automation from which they can follow up and sell their stuff, right? So I saw that people are doing that. And literally, guys, trust me, even today, the apps exist who are charging monthly for this exact same thing. Even I went on to try other products. I tried a lot of them as I was building this. And the point I'm trying to put here is this was literally the time before pre and everything stuff like that. And even I was not too fluent with coding, the JavaScript and such.…
